Meteoware Share

Meteoware Share is a new web service for owners of Netatmo weather stations. It automatically and reliably sends measured weather data to external weather networks, with no permanent server side storage.

As part of MeteoWare+, it lets you centrally manage the forwarding of your Netatmo weather data to various weather networks. Currently accessible through the main module – soon also available as a standalone version.

Weather Underground

Weather Underground combines official weather data with a global network of personal weather stations, creating a unique platform for accurate, hyperlocal weather insights. Users benefit from real-time data, detailed historical records, a vibrant community, and powerful tools for managing their own weather stations.

Owners of devices like Netatmo and similar systems will find real value in the PWS (Personal Weather Station) network, whether for visualization, analysis, or data management.

Anyone operating a personal weather station can easily connect it to the network and automatically transmit their data to Weather Underground. The platform offers:

  • Live dashboards with real-time readings, historical graphs, and comparison tools
  • Your Netatmo Station is visible on WunderMap, Website and App
  • High-resolution, hyperlocal weather data, often more precise than airport or regional stations
  • Customized forecasts tailored to your exact location
  • Access to your personal data archive, complete with charts and statistics

WOW MetOffice

WOW (Weather Observations Website) is an interactive platform launched in 2011 by the UK Met Office in collaboration with the Royal Meteorological Society and the Department for Education. Its goal is to collect and share weather observations from around the world, both automatically from private weather stations (PWS) and manually recorded data, actively promoting citizen science in the field of meteorology.

If you operate your own weather station (e.g., a Netatmo), WOW offers a great opportunity to visualize your data, share it with others, and contribute to scientific weather research.

Platform highlights:

  • Community & Rating System: Each weather station receives a quality rating based on its location, equipment, and data frequency. Users can also upload photos and observation notes to showcase their station.
  • Citizen Science & Research: WOW supports scientific projects worldwide. With over 30,000 active users and more than one million daily observations, its data has been featured in more than 50 academic publications. National weather services also use WOW data to improve their forecasting models.

PWSweather.com

PWSweather.com is a powerful, globally connected platform for operators of personal weather stations (PWS). It allows users to transmit real-time weather data, visualize it clearly, and archive it long-term. The service is complemented by high-quality API and mapping features provided by AerisWeather, free of charge for all active contributors.

Key Features:

  • Personal Dashboards & Map View: Each weather station gets its own page with interactive charts, tables, and a marker on the global map.
  • AerisWeather Contributor Plan: Users who share their data receive free access to AerisWeather's APIs and mapping services, a value of over $400 per year.
  • Free Use & Public Visibility: The service was free for PWS operators and offered API access along with the opportunity to share data publicly, often including credit and a link to the station.

PWSweather.com was created as a partnership between HAMweather, LLC and weatherforyou.com, LLC.
